Kia ora whanau! Talofa lava matua ma aiga!
There is a lot happening at this time of the year. Your tamariki have been involved in some testing during the past 2 weeks. Teachers are currently in the process of making OTJs (Overall Teacher Judgments). This means that teachers are using a range of information e.g. book work, observations, anecdotal notes, tests and conferencing to help make an OTJ. The purpose of this process and the gathering of the data is to help inform the teachers’ planning and practice. Teachers and students will be able to find out what they can do in all curriculum areas and what their next steps are. The students will then set goals to help them achieve the next level. These goals will be shared in our PLP (Personal Learning Plan) evening next week.
Polyfest Trip – This Friday 17th March, 9am – 3pm. Please remember to return the permission slip and pay the $15 if you haven’t already.
Personal Learning Plan Evening – Next Tuesday 21 March and Wednesday 22 March. The PLP is designed to show the current learning levels of you child and the goals they have set alongside their teachers to achieve before our mid-year report.
PLEASE MAKE AN APPOINMENT IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY. RETURN THE SLIP OR EMAIL THE OFFICE OR MYSELF: firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you to the whanau who have handed in both slips. I look forward to seeing you all next week.
