Kia Ora! Talofa lava!
My name is Patricia Tuilaepa and I am the teacher of Lumana’i Manuia. Students in our class had an awesome first day. The day was filled with activities to get to know each other, team building activities, learning about our school values and school routines. Our topic for this term is ‘We are Kelston’. We will be learning about the history of Kelston and West Auckland, our identities, whanau and cultures. We will also be learning our school pepeha and then be challenged to write our own. I believe it is important for our students to be confident in their own identities, culture and languages. Students will be encouraged to learn about their cultures and others’ throughout the year. Whanau, you are welcome to come in and share your knowledge and expertise with our class.
If you would like to get in touch with me, you can email me firstname.lastname@example.org.
I’m looking forward to meeting with you all.
