About Kelston Intermediate

Strongly rooted in our Kerehana community, Kelston Intermediate provides education for tamariki in Years 7 and 8. Our school serves a diverse ethnic community and offers bilingual pathways in Māori, Samoan and Tongan.

The learning journey for our tamariki here at Kelston Intermediate is designed to empower and grow our learners holistically. We strive to achieve this through being academically rigorous, culturally inclusive and socially challenging.

Our school has longserving staff from the Kerehana community and a close working relationship with Te Kawerau a Maki, our local iwi.

Chromebooks

Kelston Intermediate has partnered with Cyclone to provide BYOD (Chromebook) purchasing options to our students. Chromebooks are our preferred devices for student learning at Kelston Intermediate.

Please visit the Cyclone BYOD portal and select Kelston Intermediate from the drop-down menu to see the full range of Chromebooks and other digital equipment available. We recommend Acer Chromebooks for their durability.

We strongly recommend adding the warranty and cover option to all Chromebook purchases, as this will provide cover if the Chromebook is accidentally broken or is faulty.

Please note: All devices are purchased directly through Cyclone, not the school. WINZ support is available. Please contact Cyclone for more information.

School Lunches

This will be finalised for 2025 by the end of this year as new criteria has meant Y7 & Y8s will no longer receive lunches in school similar to how it has been. We will update our community when things are finalised.

Stationery

Stationary packs are $50 and can only be purchased at the school office.
